"Authentic and atmospheric ..."

Avid reader, committed writer, Alan soldiered for seven years before turning his hand to marketing and writing. Author of four published novels, he has served as marketing consultant to companies behind some of the world's leading industrial brands.

His first two books tackled the Rhodesian Bush War. Best-selling Of Land and Spirits is widely recognised as the defining story of that conflict. It's follow-up, A Cross for Two Graves, tackled the war's psychological aftermath.

A Salient in Flanders, Alan's third novel, addresses a very different era, World War One. It has been acclaimed as one of the most believable modern accounts of the Great War. The standalone sequel, Winterman's Letter, will soon be followed by a third work to complete the trilogy. First draft of this new story is complete, and currently under review.
